This short video above is the opening of my exhibition "In Your Head" about trauma and trauma therapy.

When a man with a knife was seen in Wuerzburg's old town in mid-July 2022, this awakened memories of the rampage one year ago for many people. Just one year has passed since the terrible attack at the Barbarossa Square, where a man stabbed and killed three women, and severely injured several others.

This incident is like a wound in the city. It remains in the memory; it triggers fear, anxiety and feelings of powerlessness.

Today is the last day of our group exhibit in Arles. So if you're in this amazing little French town, just step by! Here are some impressions:

Today I presented my project (im)perfection in Arles. It is a great honor and experience to present my work here to an international audience. And it was fun too... ;-)

We are ready! It was some work, but finally the exhibition in 3 Rue Jouvenau is ready for opening. In collaboration with ProfiFoto ten German photographers including me are exhibiting their projects and work in Arles during the famous festival Rencontre d'Arles.

Yipiehh - my project (im)perfection about body positivity will be seen in Arles. I got the decision from the magazine ProfiFoto and the Galerie du Hérisson. So just came and  visite me in 3ieme Rue Jouvene ;-)

About me

Making the invisible visible is one of my principles as a photographer. I tell stories about people, their lives and their problems with quiet tones. As a trained journalist, I often mix reportage work and artistic photography.

In my work, I look behind the façade and address social, ecological and psychological issues. I make images with a strong aesthetic appeal, which also convey a message that encourages reflection and promotes social awareness.

Every photo tells a story, be it about diversity, equality, sustainability or other issues that I support passionately. My photos are meant to encourage people to think outside the box, challenge preconceptions and create a world where aesthetics and social awareness go hand in hand.
